Conversation at a police checkpoint.
Police: Inside lights
Driver does as he is told
Police: Park your car.
(At this point I was angry because I was tired and I just wanted to go home and sleep).
Once again, driver does as he is told.
Soldier walks up to the taxi.
Soldier: Get out and go talk to the policeman.
Driver: Ah, I wont get out. Tell him to come to me because he asked me to park.
Soldier stands there for like six minutes.
Soldier: Me I can't tell you to go because I am not the one that stopped you so please get out and go talk to him.
Driver: Me I be soldier man so I know my rights. I wont get down.
Soldier stands there for like three minutes and then shouts to policeman,
Soldier: He is a soldier so I'm letting him go.
The driver made me so PROUD. It is obvious we were asked to stop because of some GHc 1 that will be collected from the driver. It is really irritating when they do this. Are you there to be taking money or are you there to check if there are criminals in the car? In fact, that one sef is very questionable.
How would you know they are criminals if you don't inspect the car thoroughly? Inside light and spy inside the car small and you are done. What is that? I call it waste of time.
More drivers should be able to stand up to authority when they feel they are not doing the proper thing. I'm just saying...
